Solid Aluminum Vader Severed Hand Stunt

$260.00

This is the same master saber that I machined to make the mold for my Vader Severed Hand Stunt resin run. Although we never actually see a metal version of this saber in this specific configuration on screen (only the resin version) we know it did exist at one point since they used it to make the mold for the resin severed hand stunt. And because the same hilt was eventually turned into what we know to be “The Barbican Saber” today which is metal. The only difference Ive made between the resin severed hand stunt and this saber is an added D-ring, the reference photos of the resin prop show a broken off D-ring so thats what was used for that run. I’ve painted and weathered this saber as I think it would have looked before it turned into the Barbican. It is machined out of 2 solid sections of 6160 aircraft aluminum and features a Roman Props MPP clamp, a Wannawanga bubble strip, T-track grips and D-ring. This saber is HEAVY, the only thing that is not solid metal is the shroud which is a replica that I fabricated and cast in resin (also available in my shop) and of course the T-track grips and bubble strip. Everything on this hilt has been permanently glued into place so that all the parts would stay in the correct orientation during the mold making process.
