The Sandstorm V2 can be seen in the deleted “sandstorm” scene from ROTJ. This scene was filmed early on during production and appears less “worn” than how we see the V2 during the rest of the film. There is more paint present on the prop overall and it still has the bubble strip situated in the clamp which is left over from being Alec Guiness’s stunt prop during ANH instead of the V2 clamp circuit card seen throughout the rest of the film. This is a really unique piece that gives us a glimpse of the props natural progression.
